Not since Freeziac closed in Plymouth have I enjoyed a good frozen yogurt. My only options nearby are Cherry Berry (didn't like texture) and Yogurt Lab (too expensive). We drove several miles due to great reviews and glad I did! Monday nights you can fill your cup for $5. I got the salted caramel and German chocolate. Yum!!! The young woman behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. They ran out of punch cards so she took my number so I'd get credit for my purchase.

Visited Menchie's for the first time tonight with my daughter after a swim meet. Large, fun-colored place for froyo and toppings. Has a bunch if tables and a fireplace. Had a waffle cone with tart and fruit flavors; my daughter had ice cream sandwich bar (ICSB) with various chocolate toppings... mine was maybe healthier, but hers had a lot more sweet! We'll be back!

To complete our Froyo adventure around Maple Grove, we hit up Menchies on Friday night. For those not overly familiar with MG, it's not in the Arbor Lakes area, but, off the beaten path more towards Kohls (actually directly across the parking lot). The fact it's not on the beaten path around everything else near the fountains really sucks, because this place is better than Yogurt Lab and Cherry Berry over in that vicinity. Lets start with the flavors, not as many as either place, maybe 16 at the top end. I didn't go to school to be an accountant and I can't remember how many total, but, not as many. However, they do have two sorbets that change with the month (April is pina colada and orange/carrot), and a couple rotating specialty flavor froyos that are incredibly good (Reeses PB cup and something else). The normal flavors are fantastic as you'd imagine - cake batter, chocolate, vanilla, cookies and cream, etc etc. I opted for original and cherry tart swirl... lets just go with mmmmhmm as to how good that was. Don't need to say anything more than that. The girlfriend went with the sorbet swirl as mentioned above, and topped it off with house vanilla. Deeeeeeeelicious. However, what set this place aside, was how creamy and smooth the froyo was. It didn't leave that icicle feeling on your tongue from the crystals most yogurt have. Don't even think about saying I didn't eat it fast enough, because if you do, clearly you need to have a sitdown with me and watch me wreck some food. It was a smoothness I've never experienced before in my froyo adventures here, or in other states where I've had it. Fantastic though. The assortments were all there, looking fresh, clean and not like a tornado of kids just went fingers first into them. They also had a brownies to throw in your froyo, which I naturally did. And oh yeah, they have malted waffle cones to throw in your bowl of froyo. Yeah. Fuck yeah actually. I highly advise swinging through. Go use your Kohls cash (you addicts know who you are!) and hit this place up. Trust me, you won't regret it.

What can I say, Menchies you are good, very good. You're not hyped up where your customer service is lacking, nor is your space overly crowded because you're too popular, you're just right. Here's The scoop: Thumbs up: -burbs location, finally something tastey -plenty of parking -reasonably $ -cute decor, knick knacks whatnot to buy -free sample cups clearly displayed and plenty of them unlike some places you wait in line just for those! -yummy flavors try the ice coffee or ice cream sandwich -um and the free waffle cone, yummers!! Tip get a separate cup for your fro yo and grab the waffle cone on the side so the free cone doesn't count towards your weigh in -friendly c.s. -outdoor seating, doggie friendly -they have mochi!!! Thumbs down: -yet another fro yo and treat spot to throw me off that healthy lifestyle "diet" -not as many flavors as some places, but still good enough Yes back for more soon!

First time going to menchies!! Used to go to tutti Frutti, they're both super good! Menchies is legit froyo, it's creamy and delicious. I've been to some places and it's more like buffet icecream.... Anyway, me and my boyfriend had dulce de leche, vanilla snow and toasted marshmallow! The fruit punch was also super yummy! Definitely coming back. the only thing was that we saw recycled spoons, and got a little grossed because we weren't sure if they were reusing them.... My family is super big on hygiene so it grossed us out.

Great Product. Fantastic Hospitality Friends told me Menchies is the best Fro Yo out there. My daughter and I were up in Maple Grove, stopped at Jimmy Johns and Menchies was right next door. Really good Frozen Yogurt, terrific. The hospitality was fantastic. We were sitting by the fireplace, the owner Peter was there, he chatted with every one. Knew his customers by name. A couple came in with two little kids, they gave them balloons. Really a nice touch. Just terrific. An unexpected treat. Both the Fro Yo and the service. Five Stars +

The new flavors are great. I went for the usual chocolate favorites but I couldn't pass the pineapple and key lime flavors. Great selection and service. We picked up a carton to go to save a trip back.
